Well, today I went to Outback for Australia Day. All the Australians were really nice. It did kind of stink that there were 50/50 on American to Australians. It was suprising to find out that every one of them had a great job. The one guy was a locksmith, that is ironic seeing as Australia started of as a nation of convicts.
Well the reason behind Australia Day is today is the day Australia became an independent colony this day in 1901. Seems to be contradictory but their independent and somehow they still tie themselves back to the United Kingdom. It would be really interesting to find out more about how that works? They brought some Australian snack like fairy bread and some other items.
Unfortunatly, I was an arse, and talked a bit much about politics. I couldn't help it, I find politics very interesting. It is strange that we have the freedom of speech but we censor ourselves by making it a taboo subject. Anyway, I really wish more people had been there so I didn't have to torture the Daniel who sat next to me with my Reaganomics.
Australian are really interesting but at the same time it is like they are speaking a totally differenct language. Hopefully, I get to check Austalia out someday. The people seem interesting and passionate. I can sympathize with them because I know what it is like to miss home. I hope they find the success they desire here and if they wish I hope they get to retire in the place they love so much. Go Australia.
I do gather that Australians are not real big into holidays. The ones that are typically like them as an excuse to get drunk. Although, all the Aussies at outback stayed sober. Oh yeah, they were drinking Fosters. I'll have to try one.
P.S I would really appreciate comments on Australia Day by some Australian. I really would like to learn more about the holiday.

Metalica Review
I was listening to Metalica today and I heard one of their classics. The song was great. I then started to think a bit more in depth about the group. Every time I hear Metalica on the radio, I turn up the radio. Their music is great as long as it is prior to Garage, Inc.
The band just went down hill in a hurry after that. What were they doing wrong? I wouldn't be a critic if I didn't have an answer. Wait a minute, I probably shouldn't consider myself a critic. I only complain about stuff to you.
The problem with Metalica is that they had some strengths and weaknesses and they went against them. For instance, Lars Ulrich he is not a great singer, but he has a good sound that fits they type of music. So what does he try to do? He tries to become Pavarotti and emphasizes every note. He sounds like a moron when he sings.
Another thing they do wrong is try to play like a garage band. Why? They are great guitarists, why would they try to sound like crap. I guess they don't get that their strength is in their unique ability to have a clean smooth electric sound and they mix it with acoustic guitar in their best songs.
I guess this just shows that to continue to be great you should downplay your weaknesses a bring your strengths to the fore front of you game. Lars should really downplay his singing. By the way Metalica is one of my favorite bands. Please, don't rag on this post because I pointed out some negative aspects to their music. Maybe they'll read this and put out another great album using this advice.

UFC 80 Rapid Fire
Man Rapid Fire was a good description for this event. There was knock out after knock out. It was vicious. There was blood everywhere.
I really recommend watching this if you get the chance. BJ Penn dominated Joe Stevenson, but I think he still needs to work on his cardio. That fool looked beat after the fight. I don't know what it is about fighting but the training these guys go through is astounding. They do hours upon hours of cardio and still wear down in five ten minutes.
Well this didn't shape up to be a great card, but it really turned out to be one of the better UFC productions. I do have to say in my opinion the belt doesn't truly belong to BJ Penn until he fights Sean Sherk.
Considering the life Sean Sherk leads I don't think he used steroids. If anything it was someone poisoning him or it was in a supplement and he was unaware. I really don't see the latter being the case. He needs to keep an eye on his cap.

Cloverfield Movie Review
I was even warned not to go see this movie. My brother said when he went to see it everyone clapped at the end. Unfortunately, he didn't leave this part out. When I left everyone was talking about how much the movie sucked. I didn't actually think the movie was that bad. I can definitely see everyone's point.
This movie just ran. It was suppposed to be like a home video, and it was amazing that the crappy camera cut in scenes that it was supposed to be taping over, but had such high definition as far as the picture goes.
The real problem is that every question a movie goer would like to get an answer, ther isn't one. There is no real story behind the events. You leave thinking there should have been something more. I'd also, like to know why New York City is always getting a beating in movies. Film makers must really hate New York.
Another problem is that the jobs the characters supposedly possesed were kind of unreasonable. Well my advice on this one is skip it unless you are a really really big Blair Witch Project Fan.
