P.S. I Love You Movie Review

I wish somebody would have chopped this guys hands off before he died. I simply couldn't get past the cheesy premise of this movie. I wish the brain tumor made him too retarded to write, or he would have had his hands chopped off instead. I mean look at the picture Hillary Swank looks dumb not heartbroken.

I don't even know who crapped out this movie. I am an Irish guy let me sing like a leprechaun and really love my wife. Oh crap I'm dying let me write her some letters, so she can be guided. It'll really inspire her and everyone. Life is grand go out and live.

Oh crap, P.S I love you. Go to Ireland, sing in a bar and do a lot of crap that isn't relevant to getting over me. I just want to send you constant reminders and make your life a living hell. Finally, you'll put a gun to your head blow out the brain tumor that is this movie and join me in heaven. Wait I'll have to transfer to hell then we will really be happy. I here it is hot down there all year round I'll sing an Irish Jig about this.

Well to some up, I don't think this movie is really worth seeing. Sorry, about writing as if I were the Irish guy with no warning. Somebody go give that widow the bone.

First Sunday Movie Reviews

Well the bad news is the marketing for this was to play off of Friday. That being the case most moviegoers are not going to like this movie. Not every actor in this was funny. There were the serious characters and the funny ones.

The whole premise of the church being robbed and the related jokes were pretty funny. There were moments of seriousness and the story was a bit preachy. There are not a lot of good comedies out there so I suggest this movie. I've also seen the Bucket List and that was funny and had a better storyline. It's not slapstick though, and sometimes that is what you want in a movie. Even I admit I like to leave my thoughts at home a times.

That is what kind of crappy about First Sunday it was slap stick but it did bring up a lot of issues I don't want to think about at this type of flick. The lead actor was always like, "I am a black man trying to do the best for my son." Well the good news is that the lesson learned was pretty accurate. Well I'd hit up Bucket List over this one. Unless you just want to bake.

Kiss of the Dragon Movie Review

Another film from the past. This one is about a prostitute and a cop. Basically, the storyline is as scripted to a karate movie as it gets. The main character Chinese cop Jet Li who has been framed by French cops in France.

This movie had all of the stereotypical bad guys. The heartless leader, his best friend who just tears into people with guns, the pimp, the big strong black guy, and two brothers who look like twins. There is something about the French that makes them fail to be hardcore but just kind of snobby and rude.

The lead character is a cop with nothing in his life except for his dedication to his job. I really have never heard of overly dedicated cops. I wander if cops watch these movie and think, "I hate that guy he’s just like Johnson. Johnson’s like oh it’s got be by the book all the time but is always causing extreme damage to the city. I’d like to smack that guy." From my knowledge cops can’t even shoot a criminal firing back at them without getting in trouble.

The movie is missing the superior officer that doesn’t get along with the super cop. The movie does have a hooker, who is only guilty of circumstance, is being blackmailed into prostitution and truly does have a good heart. She really just wants to do the right thing.

Well some of the action sequences are really good. The movie is corny but so are most action flicks. That doesn’t stop me or most other guys from liking them. If you are into action and this is one you haven’t seen rent the DVD. It is short of being good enough to add to the collection but still entertaining. I remember this film being so much better so I bought the DVD.

What is up With Wyoming

I have said in a previous post that I like the Google Maps feature when using Google Analytics. Well I have had visitors from all of the world. From third world countries and some countries I haven't even heard of before. You would think that I would have a visitor from every state, and in fact in most states I have over 50 visitors. Well I have at least three visitors in every state with the exception of one. Wyoming. What is up with that?
I am not going to rag on Wyoming but what the heck is there. I can't even name a city in Wyoming. Oh wait, Cheyenne Wyoming is the capital I think. Well, at least I am smarter than I had thought. Just so people in Wyoming don't hate me. My Grandfather visits a dude ranch there and is supporting the economy. He has said the countryside there is absolutely beautiful. I am pretty sure he goes every year.

Wyoming get it together start going to more movies and definitely start visiting my site. Will see if I get a visitor tomorrow. Maybe, I'll write an article about Wyoming.

One Missed Phone Call Movie Review

You might have to cancel your cell service after seeing this one. It really did have a lot of scary scenes. It is kind of in the theme of the movie The Ring. If you like that one you are likely to like this movie. I went to see this movie with two other people. They didn't like the movie because they didn't think it flowed very well. I admit there are parts I didn't pick up on until after the movie but I think it did make sense. I guess that means it is hard to follow. You'll have to bring your thinking cap for this one. It does tell a great story. Just pay close attention to all of the details.

By the way this is another rip off from Asia. The movie sets up for a sequel in America. If you don't mind reading captions just go to an Asian grocery store and buy the sequel and the original. You might even be able to rent the Asian versions from Blockbuster

If someone asks for some viewing hints in the comments I will be glad to help out. I think I can make a statement about the movie without ruining the film. Only if asked though. I highly recommend this film. JUST PAY ATTENTION.

The only real problem I had with the film was the beginning. The producers made cell phones seem overly prominent in our lives. It is kind of like they are exaggerating, but I am sure it is to setup some psychological connection with the viewer. They do run dangerously close to losing interest. Now that I think about it the characters seemed kid of bland at first.

For the ladies they are trying to produce a new Hollywood heart throb. I know this because he was in AVPR his name is Johnny Lewis. Personally, I don't see it but then again the bald guy from ER was considered sexy. And, no I'm not going to go research his name. I'm just saying women cannot be understood. Then again, they say the same thing about men. Ladies when analyzing men, well me at least, just don't think. We really are just that simple.

AVPR: Aliens Versus Predator Requiem Movie Review

This was a lot better than I thought it would be, and it actually had a few little twists. They weren't monstrously huge and a lot of this reason the movie could pull the off is that you are not looking for that type of thing in this movie. I didn't really recognize it until I started to write this post.

It was also weird that there were some really bad actors mixed in with some really good actors. It was a strange mix and I am not familiar with any of them. The cinematography was also strange. It seemed choppy. It is like they kind of tried to do a collage of different style. Finally, it was PG-13 for a horror movie. There should have been a lot more blood and gore.

At the end of the day you are going to have to make up your own mind on this one. I think the positive aspects of this film outweigh the negative and it was better than the first AVP. As a matter of fact it was a lot better, that movie was kind of lame. If you were a fan of the first one, you should definitely see the sequel.

Side note what is up with sequels being better than the originals lately. I thought sequels were supposed to be traditionally bad. They are even starting to do a good job with remake or continuation movies. Like Rambo, hopefully.


Sign up for Blockbuster there is a history of Alien and Predator films to rent. This is a great deal. I finally, stopped returning movies late or buying them outright and not liking them.

Iron Man Movie Coming Soon

I am really looking forward to the Iron Man movie. When I first saw the posters, I though to myself awww crap they are going vintage. The are going to try overdue a classic presentation of Iron Man. I was still excited to see it though. Vintage films can be a bit dull but that is better than the opposite mistake. Some movies try to be so futuristic and trendy a.k.a. Alvin & The Chipmunks they come off as really cheesy.

Well it appears that I was wrong. I saw a preview for Iron Man and it appears that they found the happy median. Will still have our Hero doing unbelievable thing in a somewhat believable setting. I couldn't be happier. This movie is going to be coming out May 2, 2008 and is sure to pack in quite a few movie goers.

As many of you know I don't like watching previews. I am somewhat lucky I saw a preview for this early on, because I will have forgotten about it by the time the movie rolls out. I am bit disappointed with the lead Robert Downey Jr. I am sure he is a good actor but at this point he doesn't seem like the right guy for the role. Hopefully, I am wrong. I really shouldn't pass judgement because I am not familiar with his work. Oh yeah, they made this movie and paid tribute to Black Sabbath's, Iron Man played during the preview. Hooray.

Walk Hard: The Story of Dewey Cox Movie

I really liked this movie I thought it was hillarious and so did four of the five people I went with. Everybody knows this is just a movie made to poke fun at the history of rock. They did exactly that and they did it successfully.

Another thing I love is one not all of the stuff in the previews is in the movie and it was mainly the first five minutes of the movie again. The previews don't ruin this one too much. Unlike, the previews for Charlie Wilson's War. Walk Hard is worth the price of admission check this one out for sure if you are in the mood for some comedy.

I thought it was a bit wierd that I missed AVP2 was coming out over Christmas and the same as the Sea Horse movie. Not really into either one of these. Good luck if you go see those. I am recommending Walk Hard, Charlie Brown's War,I am Legend, Enchanted, Awake, Juno (teens with parents) and then your pick. By the way just kidding Charlie Wilson's war. Now that I am thinking about it they should get the Peanut remanents back together and make Charlie Brown's War the would probably be a kick butt movie. And yes for the morons out there I know the creator of Peanuts has passed away.
